The
Sony A5100 stands out for its ultra-compact format, its Fast Hybrid
autofocus system with a focus time of just 0.07 seconds, and its
next-generation sensor with 24.3 million pixels. The LCD touchscreen
display can be pivoted 180 degrees to allow shooting in any position,
including when taking selfies.
Data transfer is made easier than ever thanks to a built-in NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The
One-Touch connection means that users can also activate the smart
remote control function, which allows them to frame shots and take
photos from a smartphone or tablet.
In
addition to JPEG, the A5100 enables photos to be saved in the RAW
format without sacrificing image quality to compress data. In terms of
video, the Sony A5100 can shoot in different formats at resolutions of
up to Full HD (1080p).
Slated to go on sale in mid-September, the Sony A5100 is priced at $549 for the body alone.
